#101 LECTURE, FEB 12, 7PM
A Visit to Pullman City chronicles a trip to the Wild West theme park near Passau. Reflecting seriously on stereotypes and racism in the US and Europe, while also finding humor in the park’s kitsch, Wesley Moore looks at the many contradictions at Pullman City, as well as positive aspects.
He comes to the conclusion it is, at its heart, a place for belonging—for rural Germans, at least.
An american german evening from and with texts from WESLEY EDWARD MOORE and RAPHAEL UNGER, accompanied by photoworks of CLAUDIA HOLZINGER.
